Dennis Allen Dieleman was born June 24, 1944, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Harold and Clara (Block) Dieleman. He attended school in Dinsdale, Iowa. Dennis joined the Unites States Army, where he served during Vietnam. He married Joette Arp on September 11, 1965, in Gladbrook. Dennis was a farmer and later went on to work at John Deere and retired after 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, walking in the mountains and music. Dennis and Joette moved to Arizona then to Missouri for eight years. They later made their home in Gold Canyon, Arizona.
Dennis passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at UnityPointHealth – Allen Memorial at the age of 79. He is preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Paul Arp; a brother-in-law, Jerry Tyler; a sister-in-law, Paulette Boerm and a nephew, David Tyler.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Joette of Gold Canyon, Arizona; mother-in-law, Vera Arp of Traer; two daughters, Kim (Andy) Dyck and Kristi Dieleman, both of Gold Canyon, Arizona; two grandchildren, Jacob and Ashlyn; a great-granddaughter, Dinah; a sister, Delores Tyler of Dinsdale; brothers-in-law, Mike Arp of Traer and Roger Boerm of Toledo and eight nieces and nephews, Curtis Bradford, Tim Tyler, Tami Sweerin, Tami Jacobson, Terri Tyler, Todd Tyler, Brooke Arp and Dan Arp.
Dennis will be laid to rest on his favorite mountain in Arizona.
As per Dennis’ wishes, no services will be held.
